When going to your first swim meet you'll need to bring
- All your swimming gear-(swimsuits, caps, goggles)
- An extra pair of clothes (you'll need it when you get cold to put on so your muscles don't get cold-that way you can swim faster)
- Snacks-I personally bring bottles of Gatorade and water, energy bars, crackers and nuts, and honey for quick energy (you can drink it before a race for some quick and simple carbohydrates, I recommend drinking it if you choose 15 minutes before you swim.)
- Music- I personally don't listen to music that often but sure you can definitely bring headphones and an I-pod or something like that to listen to, I know it helps people sometimes :)
- Blankets or Sleeping Bags- Trust me it'll keep you warm and you'll need that.
- Towels- Your going to have to dry of sometime right?
- I bring a bag to carry this all in you can buy these at amazon.com just look up swim backpacks after that.
